1.GENERAL #

HaiKom is a web based system for ordering print products (web-to-print). HaiKom is designed with focus on; ease of use, easy order flow control, production flow automation, flexibility and system integration.

  • Ease of use: Easily apprehensible user interface.
  • Easy order flow control: Easily apprehensible order administration.
  • Production flow automation: Supports JDF and XPIF job tickets.
  • Flexibility: Can easily be adjusted to customer requirements.
  • System integration: Integrates and can be integrated with customer’s existing systems.

The system supports eight product (template) types: assignment, booking, campaign kit, composite, dynamic, group, kit and static. All product types can be configured to conform to the expected end product. Assignment templates are manual labor such as layout work and other non-automatable tasks. Booking templates are products which the end user lends for a specified amount of time. Campaign kits are a collection of other templates that are ordered at a regular interval. Composite templates are products that consist of several individual parts such as: files, tabs, dynamic covers etc., e.g. binders. The composite template feature is part of a separate module. Dynamic templates are products where the content of the final product is altered during the ordering process, e.g. business cards. Group templates are a collection of other templates that are presented to the end user, who can choose one of them. Kit template are a collection of other templates that are ordered at the same time. Static templates can be items held in stock, print on demand items or separate print files uploaded during the ordering process.
